According to sources, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has said that a meeting will be held on January 19 in which a final decision will be taken regarding the reopening of schools. However, it is too early to say when the schools will be reopened.
Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the proposal was to open schools in three phases. He said to open primary schools from January 25.
Saeed Ghani said that a proposal has been sent to open secondary schools in the first week of February while other major classes will be opened later.
He said that the first phase of the reopening of the school is scheduled to start on January 25, while the decision to reopen the school would be taken after looking at the data of NCOC and Health Department. Saeed Ghani said that issues related to the reopening of schools would come up on January 19.
He further said that if SOPs are being implemented then there is no need for lockdown, if there is a decision to lock down then it should be in the whole country.
