He said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has not sent any summary to the Petroleum Division regarding the increase or change in petroleum products. In which it was said that the government has once again made preparations to drop petrol bombs on the citizens who are suffering from inflation.
According to these reports, petroleum products were expected to become more expensive from January 16. Sources said that petrol is likely to go up to Rs 11.95 per liter. The price of diesel can also go up to Rs 9.57 per liter. According to sources, the prices of petroleum products were fixed at the rate of Rs 30 per liter. The media report said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent recommendations to the Petroleum Division to change the prices of petroleum products.
The final decision on the prices of petroleum products will be taken by the Ministry of Finance in consultation with the Prime Minister. However, now the OGRA spokesperson has denied all these reports and termed them as mere speculations. It is worth mentioning here that the rising trend in the price of crude oil in the world market continues. The price of crude oil in the world market has risen by 4% in one week, the price of crude oil in the world market has reached an 11-month high. After which, there is a fear of increase in the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan. However, no final announcement or decision has been made in this regard.

On the other hand, federal ministers will mobilize to congratulate senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Nadeem Afzal Chan, who has resigned from the post of special assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In this regard, media sources said that efforts are being made by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Zulfi Bukhari to persuade Nadeem Afzal Chan. It has been reported that Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shirin Mazari and Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry have also been mobilized in this regard. The resignation will not be accepted.
